Abloy products are widely used in padlocks, vending machines, and many high-security installations.

History

Abloy was founded in 1907 by Emil Henriksson of Helsinki, Finland. In the same year Henriksson designed the first disc-detainer lock. Industrial production of Abloy locks began in 1918. [1]

In 1994, Abloy was purchased by ASSA AB to form ASSA-Abloy.
