ASSA Abloy

ASSA ABLOY AB is the parent company of many smaller lock manufacturers. ASSA ABLOY was formed on November 7, 1994 when ASSA AB of Sweden merged with Abloy Oy of Finland. They are well known for owning many of the world's leading high-security lock manufacturers, including Medeco, ASSA, Abloy, Fichet, and Mul-T-Lock.

Nico Delvaux is president and CEO of ASSA ABLOY. Lucas Boselli is the executive vice president of ASSA ABLOY and head of the Americas Division.


Timeline

1990: FAS was aquired by ASSA.
1991: IKON AG Präzisionstechnik incorporated into ABLOY Security Group (Finland).
1996: Sargent was purchased by ASSA ABLOY AB.
1997: FAB shares bought by ASSA ABLOY.
1997: Vachette joined ASSA ABLOY.
1998: Medeco was purchased by ASSA ABLOY AB.[1]
2000: effeff Group is part of the ASSA ABLOY Group.
2000: Mul-T-Lock was purchased by the ASSA ABLOY Group.
2000: Yale was purchased by the ASSA-ABLOY Group.
2001: KESO was purchased by ASSA ABLOY.
2004: Nemef acquired by ASSA ABLOY.
