Australian Lock Company (or BiLock (North America)) is an Australian lock manufacturer that produces padlocks, lock cylinders, and lock related hardware. Australian Lock Company is best known for their BiLock product line which uses driverless-pins and a double sidebar design. Recently they have branched out to other types of locks, including traditional pin-tumbler designs.
History
Brian Preddey established the Australian Lock Company in 1982 because he saw a need for locks that resisted picking, impressioning and key duplication [2]. He created the Bilock which is a dual-bladed key with each blade cut to a different pinset. Australian Lock Company was acquired by Safecorp Group, an Australian company, in 1989.[3]
