EVVA (Erfindungs-Versuchs-Verwertungs-Anstalt) (Invention, Experimentation and Application Institute) is an Austrian lock manufacturer that produces medium and high security lock cylinders, electronic locks, and alarm systems. They are best known for their high security 3KS and MCS mechanical locking systems.

History

EVVA was founded July 22, 1919 by professor Ludwig Tschörner, in Vienna, Austria.[1] It wasn't until 1936 that they received their first lock patent, under the leadership of Karl Jindrich. When Jindrich died in 1958, his daughter Eva Pitsch became the company's owner and manager. In 1973, Nikolaus Bujas took over the company and invested in machinery. Bujas also established an in-house research and development department in 1974.
