design patent vs. patent

The current text reads "Bows are generally patented, allowing keys to be quickly associated with certain manufacturers." Maybe this should be changed to "Bows are generally protected by design patents, allowing keys to be quickly associated with certain manufacturers." - so that this can be distinguished from the patents that protect technical inventions in a key, like movable elements etc.

key with imprint "potent" on it

does anyone know what type of lock this key (potent) fits in? I've tried looking it up on google but cannot find out anything! it is listed in this websites list of lock companies but there is no link at all. if anybody knows anything about it,please let me know. thanks alot!

Potent is an Italian company that makes mid range locks, safes, and multi-point locking systems. They primarily use multi-throw lever locks in their designs.
